July 24, 2026

July 24, 2026The Caitlin Clark Foundation partnered with Des Moines Public Schools to host a Back-to-School Backpacks event at Hoover High School, providing approximately 500 students with backpacks, school supplies, books, and community support ahead of the upcoming school year.

The event brought together students, families, volunteers, school staff, and community partners with one shared goal: helping young people begin the school year ready to learn.

Investing in Students

As part of the Back-to-School Backpacks initiative, students received backpacks donated by Nike and filled with school supplies to help them prepare for the classroom. Families also had the opportunity to select free books donated by Scholastic through Impact Reading, encouraging students to continue developing their love of reading beyond the classroom.

Through Back-to-School Backpacks, the Foundation is working to remove cost barriers that families face at the beginning of a new school year while creating opportunities for students to experience that same sense of excitement as they begin another year of learning.

Reading and education have always been hugely important in my life. I want to help kids develop their reading skills and open their imaginations to dream big.

Continuing the Mission to Uplift Youth

The Caitlin Clark Foundation was created to uplift and improve the lives of youth and their communities through education, nutrition, and sport; the pillars that shaped Caitlin’s own journey. Initiatives like Back-to-School Backpacks are one way the Foundation continues to create opportunities for young people to grow, compete, and thrive.

Caitlin’s passion and joy on the court inspire her Foundation’s work off the court. The Caitlin Clark Foundation exists to open doors for kids to learn, grow, and thrive through education, nutrition, and sports.
